銀座 GINZA SIX

The exterior of GINZA SIX is a large and easily recognizable building with a strong sense of design. It looks like a boutique architecture with “GSIX” written in large letters. Its design concept is based on the traditional Japanese architecture of “roof eaves” and “noren (door curtains)”.

【GINZA SIX】Installation Art & Space Design

銀座 GINZA SIX

As you enter “GINZA SIX”, the first thing you notice is the suspended art installation on the ceiling of the atrium, which showcases different artists’ works every season.

Standing in the mall aisle and looking towards the atrium, you can see the spatial planning of the entire “GINZA SIX”. When interior designer Gwenael Nicolas designed it, he hoped to give customers the feeling of strolling on Ginza Road, so he incorporated some narrow alleyway styles.

On every floor’s corridor, there are also rest areas set up, but please note that eating is not allowed here. Dining can only be done in the seating area of 2F and the rooftop garden.

The elevators at “GINZA SIX” are also very stylish, using straight and horizontal beams of light to create a sense of luxury.

The LED panel waterfall also has a very relaxing atmosphere.

Next, let me introduce from the lower floors one by one!

【GINZA SIX 2F】FRANCK MULLER PÂTISSERIE

First, let’s go to the luxury and fashion area on the 2nd floor. What caught my attention here is the high-end mechanical watch brand “FRANCK MULLER GENEVE” founded by a genius watchmaker. The Ginza Six store is the largest in Tokyo, where you can not only buy expensive watches and jewelry, but also the only dessert shop in the world. It caters specifically to the Japanese custom of gift-giving, and you can see many Japanese people ordering high-end desserts here.

【GINZA SIX 2F】Dolce & Gabbana

2F boutique also features Dolce & Gabbana fashion from Italy.

【GINZA SIX 4F】CA4LA

I have introduced “CA4LA” in many Tokyo shopping spot articles. It is a Japanese hat brand founded in 1997. If you like hats, there are really many styles here.

【GINZA SIX 4F】Nakamura Tohkich

東京中村藤吉本店

The famous matcha shop “Nakamura Tokichi Honten” from Uji, Kyoto has opened its first store in the Kanto region at “GINZA SIX”. Whether you want to enjoy various matcha desserts or purchase green tea souvenirs, this is the place to go.

【GINZA SIX 4F】lululemon

If you have been to Vancouver, Canada, you may notice that people on the street are in good shape and even walk around in leggings. Canadians also practice yoga a lot. “lululemon,” a sportswear store founded in 1998, specializes in functional and stylish sportswear. If you like high-quality and well-designed sportswear, I highly recommend shopping here.

【GINZA SIX 6F】Tsutaya Books Ginza Store

The “Tsutaya Bookstore”, known as the most beautiful bookstore in the world, also opened in Ginza Six. Its main appeal is to provide customers with an “artistic life”, so there are comfortable reading environments and many books on art, design, photography, fashion, and Japanese culture.

【GINZA SIX 6F】Restaurant

The 6th floor of Tsutaya Bookstore is also a food court where you can find Cantonese cuisine, Japanese barbecue, pork bone ramen, and Italian cuisine.

【GINZA SIX】Roof Garden

If you have drinks or snacks to take away from GINZA SIX, please note that eating and drinking is not allowed inside the mall. The staff recommended that besides going to the terrace on the second floor, you can also go up to the open rooftop garden on the top floor to rest. There are dedicated elevators on the 1st and 6th floors to take you up.

The Sky Garden is surrounded by a 360-degree circular walkway, where you can take a stroll around GINZA SIX. Along the way, there are green plants, creating a relaxing atmosphere. In the middle, there is a children’s play area.

【GINZA SIX 1F】Tax Refund Service

If you have purchased over 5,000 Japanese yen (excluding tax), you can enjoy tax exemption. Remember to bring your receipt, passport, and goods to the tax refund counter on the 1st floor. The counter staff can speak English and Chinese. Remember, the tax refund counter is only open from 10:30 to 20:30!
