The first Disney restaurant in Tokyo's city center has officially opened! Located on the 7th floor of Shibuya Hikarie, "Disney HARVEST MARKET" is Disney's first combined coffee shop and souvenir store restaurant. The store is filled with vintage Mickey Mouse designs, so come take a picture with Mickey!

The “Disney HARVEST MARKET” opened on the 7th floor of Shibuya Hikarie on September 1, 2021. When it first opened, I really wanted to come, but it was reservation-only at the time. Now that we’re in the post-pandemic era, you can walk in. The restaurant is full of Mickey Mouse style, with a large white Mickey Mouse to accompany you while you eat, and Mickey Mouse and his friends’ shaped food. After visiting, I really liked the atmosphere here. Moreover, this restaurant is not limited-time, it is a regularly operated restaurant, so you don’t need to rush to come here. It’s super convenient. In this food review, I will share my visiting experience with you!

【Disney HARVEST MARKET】Menu Introduction

As soon as you step into “Disney HARVEST MARKET”, you can feel the joyful atmosphere similar to Tokyo Disneyland. The staff are more willing to work and take care of customers. After we were seated, the restaurant asked if it was our first time dining there and if we needed a menu introduction. Then they began to introduce their food concept:

“Disney HARVEST MARKET” is a hybrid coffee shop created through a partnership between Disney and “WIRED CAFE”. Its full name is “Disney HARVEST MARKET By CAFE COMPANY”, and its concept is to provide healthy and sustainable food options for the future. This futuristic coffee shop insists on using seasonal Japanese fruits and vegetables in their dishes, and their menu is designed to keep each dish under 600 calories, 2.5g of salt, and free of trans fats. Their main focus is on creating low-oil, low-salt, low-sugar, low-calorie, and minimalist-style future cuisine. For example, their whole wheat spaghetti is not only shaped like Disney characters, but also provides a safe and healthy eating experience for customers.”

Each dish on the menu comes with its calorie and salt content.

One of the must-try dishes at “Disney HARVEST MARKET” is the hand-drip coffee, and you must order the hot latte because only this latte has a high-flying pattern. You can also switch the milk to soy milk or almond milk.

The dishes at “Disney HARVEST MARKET” all feature Disney elements, such as Mickey gloves on the burgers, Minnie’s red polka dot dress on the spaghetti, and Pluto’s dog bone. Even the glasses for drinks have Mickey’s logo on them!

【Disney HARVEST MARKET】Dining Environment

As it was not yet peak dining time for afternoon tea, I ordered and took the opportunity to snap a photo of the 135-square-meter spacious “Disney HARVEST MARKET” while there were still few people around.

Inside the “Disney HARVEST MARKET”, you can see cute Disney elements everywhere, such as Mickey and his friends’ pillows, and so on.

The overall decoration of “Disney HARVEST MARKET” belongs to retro design, and you can feel the extremely simple and refreshing rural style from the walls and tableware.

Aside from the original Mickey and Minnie seen on the menu, there are also white Mickey plush toys inside the restaurant.

The most eye-catching feature of “Disney HARVEST MARKET” is the huge white Mickey in the center of the restaurant, with a red ladybug perched on its nose.

The fresh ingredients symbolizing healthy eating are piled up at the feet of white Mickey.

In addition to the open seating area, “Disney HARVEST MARKET” also offers themed “private booth seating” featuring various Disney characters, including Minnie, Donald Duck, and Daisy. If you are interested in this option, it is recommended to make a reservation online in advance.

【Disney HARVEST MARKET】High-Flying Pattern Latte Art

After a quick stroll around the restaurant, the dishes were served! First and foremost, the super-healing “High Fly Pattern Latte Art” was presented. Don’t you think it looks exquisite?

【Disney HARVEST MARKET】Minnie Squash

Another drink we ordered was the “Squash” juice with added soda water. The Minnie Mouse-shaped one had a flavor of berries and beetroot, and it tasted very refreshing without being too heavy.

【Disney HARVEST MARKET】Merchandise

After finishing your meal and checking out, you can visit the souvenir shop at the entrance. “Disney HARVEST MARKET” sells various retro classic Mickey peripheral products, including pillows, shirts, towels, and miscellaneous items. Many of them are exclusive limited edition products only available at the Shibuya store!

【Summary】Is Disney HARVEST MARKET worth a visit?

The dining environment of “Disney HARVEST MARKET” is really comfortable for Tokyo city center. The high ceiling, spaciousness, and stylish decoration make it very appealing. The service attitude of the staff is also very enthusiastic, and the meals are refreshing and not burdensome. Even if you are not a Disney fan, I love the dining environment here and highly recommend it as a great place to sit and rest. This Disney HARVEST MARKET in Shibuya is really great.
