3 Mermaids At A Glance

Sitting on the ground of a former restaurant, 3 Mermaids has been heavily renovated into a scenic cafe-style spot serving Thai Fusion cuisine.

Just a short ten-minute drive west of the downtown core, 3 Mermaids has been drawing crowds as one of the most visited spots to watch sunset in Pattaya.

The Three Mermaids restaurant offers a picturesque setting atop a mountain with stunning sea views, perfect for capturing luxurious sunset snapshots.

Captivating with a huge selection of hanging seatings disguised as giant bird nests, 3 Mermaids has gained immense popularity on social media platforms like Instagram, drawing in both local Thai nationals and tourists.

That being said, the view here is second to none, especially watching the sun gliding down behind the cliff at a distance.

Reservation And Ticket: How Much Does It Cost?

Make sure to make a reservation online if you wish to steal one of the seats up in the bird nests as they guarantee the best view here and fill up quickly.

Reservation can be made via the Line App at @3mermaids or Facebook. I only recommend it if you’re with a big group though as it costs THB 2000. If you’re on your own or only come with one or two friends, I don’t think it’s necessary to pay that much.

Meanwhile, walk-in guests are required to pay THB 200 in the form of a coupon which is exchanged for food and drinks.

The payment is settled by the time you come and will be offset on your bill upon checking out.

The Food

The menu is epic. That’s the first thing I’ve gotta say! Each dish comes with a picture written in both Thai and English. They serve up an amazing selection of seafood, Thai dishes, Japanese cuisine, Italian staples, and fine wines.

Getting started can be a little daunting as you may not be able to select the right dishes. My advice here is to go with what your heart desires.

When in doubt, stick to the seafood. Take grilled prawns for instance. It’s succulent and if your budget is generous, go for the lobster. It’s mouthwatering and the seasoning is perfectly executed.

Go for an extra round of pizzas and spaghetti if you wanna chow down on some carb for a share! The pizza selection is great, especially the Four Cheese Pizza and Salmon Spaghetti.

Price-wise, it’s worth noting that some patrons found the meal prices slightly steep and felt the experience leaned more towards being an Instagram-worthy spot rather than a dining destination. On average, the dishes typically range from THB 300 to 700 so prepare your budget in advance.

The Service

There are some mixed reviews regarding the staff quality. I do think the staff is doing their best to accommodate you from the moment you step in until you sit down and during your meal course but the attentiveness seems to run down during the peak hours when the spot is packed.

The Vibe

Other than the sunset view that’s worth dying for, they also send singers each night to jazz up your evening. The singers are really good at keeping the mood alive. They sing different songs in Thai, English, and even Mandarin. Not all seats provide a good view of the stage though unless you’re able to reserve a pod near the stage.

The only downside that would make me take one star off the five-star rating is the cleanliness of the seats. The hanging pods obviously need more effort to do a thorough cleaning as the seats are mostly covered in plastic that’s very easy to keep stains.

Final Words: Is It 3 Mermaids Pattaya Worth Visiting?

Yes – but not for all. Given its excellent location facing the majestic ocean, 3 Mermaids is worth visiting if you’re on a honeymoon or looking to spice up your date night. It’s definitely worth going if you’re throwing a bonding night with your besties.

Food-wise, they have plenty of choices to cater to different palates despite the hefty price tag.

On the other hand, those on a budget-friendly trip may consider taking it off your Pattaya bucket list.

However, to preserve the environment, smoking, including e-cigarettes and weed, is strictly prohibited inside and outside the premises.
